At Laser Cutting Services, we’re always looking for ways to support our local community – especially when it involves creativity and a good cause. So, when we saw a post on Facebook from Handforth Hall Tennis Club asking for help with a new mural, we were more than happy to get involved.
Handforth Hall Tennis Club recently reached out via Facebook, asking for local support to bring a new mural to life on their tennis practice wall. Their goal? To inspire new memberships and generate enough funding to continue improving facilities for their loyal members.
Jessica, from our marketing team at Laser Cutting Services, saw the post and immediately recognised an opportunity to give back. With our experience in producing high-quality, large-scale stencils, we knew we could help bring their vision to life.
Our journey with the tennis club began with a collaborative design meeting. Together with committee members Peter and Beck, we explored various ideas to ensure the final artwork would reflect the club’s vison. Several design options were put forward before a final concept was chosen—one that celebrates movement, sport, and engagement.
Once the design was agreed, we visited the club to take measurements of the wall. This allowed our design team to create accurate cutting files for the stencils, ensuring everything would line up perfectly when it came to painting.
With the colour palette chosen (to match the club brand colours), we got started by painting the target design onto the wall, which would sit beneath the tennis players. The stencil designs were then laser cut in-house and carefully labelled to make on-site assembly easier.
Once everything was ready, we adhered the stencils to the wall and began painting layer by layer. The end result was a clean, professional mural that really lifted the space and brought the wall to life.

Peter and Beck from Handforth Hall Tennis Club were over the moon with how the mural turned out. They're hopeful that it will help attract new members and give existing players something fresh and inspiring to enjoy.
