BODYART STENCILS (Including eyebrow stencilling)

Body art stencils help you achieve that temporary tattoo look with ease. Using a layered stencil we can help you avoid time consuming hand painting. You will need spray body glue adhesive to attach stencil to the skin or we can supply stencils with a self adhesive sticky release backing. If layers are built up lightly and with careful repowdering after showering or swimming, stencilled tattoos can last up to 5 days.

  • Prepare – Clean the skin with alcohol and then make sure application area is clean and dry.
  • Check positioning - Keep backing on (if using) and check positioning on the body.
  • Apply stencil – Peel off sticky backing and place on skin, or if a Mylar only stencil, lightly apply a thin coat of Spray Body Glue to the design, allowing 15 secs to become clear and tacky.
  • Spray colour – Spray lightly onto the skin. Keeping airbrush 3 – 4” from skin. Apply subsequent light coats building up to desired colour intensity. (If using spray tan check tan can for instructions.)
  • Apply shimmer powder or glitter (Optional) – Rub shimmer powder into glue through stencil with a finger or a cotton bud, blowing away any excess. (Very little powder is needed. Only apply enough to have solid coverage, without needing to sweep away much excess.)
  • Apply Henna (Optional) – having mixed up henna powder into a paste, following manufacturer’s instructions, hand paint using a stencil brush appropriate to the intricacy of your design.
  • Multi-layer – You can repeat above layers for multiple colour or design layers. We provide registration marks to enable design layers to be built up with ease.
  • Peel off – Once dry and you have completed all your design or colour intensity layers, peel off the stencil.
  • Set design – Puff with talc to set the design and after showering or swimming.
  • Clean stencil – Stencil can be cleaned in alcohol or with baby oil. Pat dry do not rub, to protect delicate areas. (Baby oil will remove the stencil from your skin, so ensure only used to clean stencil) (Follow manufacturer’s instructions to clean your airbrush)
If the edges of your tattoo look ragged when you remove the stencil, you have used too much Spray Body Glue. Be sure to spray a thin coat which will ensure best result.
