We were commissioned by a film production company to produce some Victorian type fans. The material that we chose to use had to resemble bone. Each fan was made from 22 pieces and each section was cut individually. The film starring Keira Knightley is yet to be released called 'The Duchess' in the Autumn 2008

Laser Cutting for Artists' Stencils - Custom Made Stencils for Artist Paul Stoney

Laser cutting card designs can either simple or complex. We laser cut card in varying thicknesses depending on our clients needs.

Artist, Paul Stoney specialises in using complex multi layered stencils and spray paint to create his paintings and "Old Boy" was the first time he had used laser cutting techniques as opposed to the more "traditional" graffiti stencil approach of scalpel and cardboard. "I wanted to achieve a great deal of detail in these images in order to give them an almost photographic effect, but to do this by hand would have taken me weeks and the stencils themselves would have been very fragile and almost impossible to use more than once. Having them cut like this means that the stencils are far stronger and longer lasting than before and I can now try much more detailed designs."

Custom Stencil Projects for Saudi Arabia - large wall stencils.

Multi layer mylar/polyester stencils are used to create complex designs, creating fine detail finish and depth.

Laser Cutting Services were approached by an interior design company to produce some very large complex wall stencils that were to be used on vast walls and ceilings. Some designs were compiled with three or four different sections that would all be registered together to form an overall pattern.
For the same company, we also produced some very ornate multi layer designs used to decorate furniture.

Paper and Card Stencils for Ceramics

Laser Cutting Services recently produced a short run of card stencils that were used to decorate a limited range of ceramic ware. Our client required the stencils to be made in a heavy weight paper/card in order for them to be dampened and moulded to the ceramic surface before colour glaze was applied.

Laser Cutting Fabric - Unusual Textiles and Rubber for the Fashion Industry

Rachel Lamb (BA Hons), who recently graduated at Edinburgh College of Art in Fashion Design, approached us wanting a large quantity of geometric shapes cut in thin rubber sheeting in various colours to create her final catwalk collection in 2008. Our laser cutting process enabled her to produce multiples of the same shape to her specification. The cutting process produced perfectly cut identical sections, which due to the nature of the material, would have been impossible to cut well any other method.

Advertising with Laser Cut Graffiti Stencils, Ideal for Temporary Use

Using a heavy duty polyester stencil is one of the most popular ways to promote bespoke campaigns specifically designed to target the audience for concerts, events and exhibitions. Stencils can be made in any size to have maximum impact. They are often used with colourful spray chalk or as a mask whereby the pavement is cleaned through the stencil with a high powered jet of water.

Body Stencils - Footballer's Wives TV Series

Laser cut stencils are created on a self adhesive film and are often coloured using an airbrushing technique to add colour and depth.

Commissioned by a make up artist from Footballer's Wives TV series to produce a bodyart stencil that would form a two layer complex tattoo design. This was made for Conrad, who played the lead role for some time. To avoid hand painting this each shoot, the body stencil made light work of a time consuming job. Sadly, he was killed off!

Barcelona Cathedral - Paper Pop-Up Wedding Invitation

Our laser cutting technique has allowed us to re-create a pop-up model of Barcelona cathedral. The laser cutting card components were folded and assembled and glued on a back board.

Commissioned by a paper engineer to laser cut the components for a very unique card pop-up wedding invitation.

We are stencil manufacturers of a wide range of contemporary wall stencils.

We work closely with Henny Donovan in order to produce an entensive range of stencil designs. Motif has been established to showcase and sell the range of exciting up to date stencils (including large wall stencils) from the designer and author Henny Donovan. The reputation and popularity of Henny's most contemporary stencil designs continues to grow rapidly.

With the precision of laser cutting we can laser cut onto printed artwork, registering with text and designs. This invitation was produced on gloss finish card for the launch of the new clothing collection.

There are 3 books available on stencilling by Sarah Gleave. The stencil cutting for any cake decorating project makes light work of any job.

This is one of the projects featured in Sarah Gleave's books 'Creative Stencilling' published by Merehurst. A stencil was created to decorate the cake with powdered food colours.
Sarah re-introduced stencils into the bakery trade using vibrant colours and contemporary designs that became a trend of its own.

New York Gallery - 2000 Butterflies

We can laser cut paper and card of all thicknesses.

We were approached by an artist to laser cut over 2,000 paper butterflies. These were to attached to a human figure and displayed as a piece of art in a New York gallery for just one day.
