We were commissioned by a film production company to produce some Victorian type fans. The material that we chose to use had to resemble bone. Each fan was made from 22 pieces and each section was cut individually. The film starring Keira Knightley called 'The Duchess' was released in Autumn 2008.

The display required multiple copies of artwork lasercut in a frosted vinyl that was then installed on large glass panels.

d-forms, a London model-making company, asked Laser Cutting Services to produce laser cut miniature Gary Go glasses. The glasses were cut from 250 micron black polyester film, to be worn by miniature bears in a Gary Go video, where a human size bear (small left pic) is selling miniature versions of himself. The song is called ' Through the walls' due for release Summer 2011.

Custom Stencil Projects for Saudi Arabia - large wall stencils.

Laser Cutting Services were approached by an London based interior design company to produce some very large complex wall stencils that were to be used on vast walls and ceilings. Some designs were compiled with three or four different sections that would all be registered together to form an overall pattern.

We manufacture body stencils for a wide range of occasions, including fashion shows, film and theatre production, to event and product promotion.

This particular body stencil was for a fashion shoot earlier this year for a body painting company based in Harrogate.

The body stencils are made in a thin clear polyester film/acetate or mylar which are gently adhered to the skin and airbrushed in one or more colours to get the desired effect.

NICK FALDO STENCIL Championship Golf Course - Lough Erne Golf Resort

The 1st of July 2009 saw the grand opening of the luxurious Nick Faldo Championship Golf Course at Lough Erne Golf Resort, Northern Ireland.

As part of the preparation for the launch, Laser Cutting Services were asked to create a bespoke stencil that could be used to decorate the sandstone tee boxes throughout the course.

This custom stencil designed using re-usable polyester was just the 'tee-cket' to show off Nick Faldo's logo!

LASER CUTTING VINYL AND PERSPEX and stencilled imagery for building site hoarding

A Newcastle based freelance designer approached us to produce a mock display panel that was to represent a section of hoarding to screen off a building project.

The mock panel was laser cut in Perspex and a series of laser cutting vinyl sections were applied to create the imagery on the panel.

The effect of laser cutting created depth and dimension to a simple concept. Laser cutting Perspex, vinyl and laser cutting stencils were all part of this process.

Dan Innes a London, UK based artist approached Laser Cutting Services UK with a request to produce a large 4 layer stencil to create a painting on canvas that would dimension to the finished piece.

The artwork was supplied in individual layers to mask each colour for painting. Registration marks are located on each layer so that perfect alignment can be achieved with all colours.

Paper and Card and Acetate for Ceramics

Laser cutting card designs can either simple or complex. We laser cut card in varying thicknesses depending on our clients needs.

Laser Cutting Services recently produced a short run of card stencils that were used to decorate a limited range of ceramic ware. Our client required the stencils to be made in a heavy weight paper/card in order for them to be dampened and moulded to the ceramic surface before colour glaze was applied.

Laser Cutting Services were approached by an artist who had been commissioned to construct a display that would celebrate the opening of a new road to the village of Littlemoor, Sussex.

The celebration was part of a series of developments throughout the UK, for a major sporting event in 2012.

The display was created using over 10,000 colourful neoprene labels that were laser cut with the words ‘I Wish…’. The labels were distributed to locals who were invited to write their wish. The laser cut neoprene labels were then attached along the fencing of the new road where others could read the many wishes.

Laser Cutting for Artists' Stencils - UK Custom Made Stencils for Artist Paul Stoney

Multi layer mylar/polyester stencils are used to create complex designs, creating fine detail finish and depth.

Artist, Paul Stoney specialises in using complex multi layered stencils and spray paint to create his paintings and "Old Boy" was the first time he had used laser cutting techniques as opposed to the more "traditional" graffiti stencil approach of scalpel and cardboard. "I wanted to achieve a great deal of detail in these images in order to give them an almost photographic effect, but to do this by hand would have taken me weeks and the stencils themselves would have been very fragile and almost impossible to use more than once. Having them cut like this means that the stencils are far stronger and longer lasting than before and I can now try much more detailed designs."
